Bedroom Decor Inspiration Pics

I found these pictures from Google Images. Look how pretty these two bedrooms are! I really, really like the look in both pictures!

Right now, we have ultra-modern black bedroom furnitures. I'm talking clean and straight lines. To me, it seems like it's hard to acheive the warm and cozy look in the pictures below but we have to work with what we got. My husband is not going to be happy if I demanded a new bedroom furniture set, ha ha.

I think the first picture is doable. We have a comforter similar to the one in the picture. I love the little trunks at the end of the bed. I just love black and white, period. Gah, I'm so boring.

I am inlove with the bed and the footstool (footbench?) on the second picture picture and I love, love, love the aqua blue accents. I'm not so sure about having high ceilings in the bedroom though. I like bedrooms with normal height ceilings because it feels more cozy.

ETA: Gah, as of 1:35 p.m., still no peep from the bank who owns the house we made an offer in. I know, I know, be patient but I wanna know already so we can move the hell on!

House Hunting Update

Um yeah, I'm not sure if I've told you guys about this so just in case, here's some news.

As soon as we thought we're giving up on house hunting and putting it on hold, our real estate lady called and said she found a perfect house for us. We went to see the house and we made an offer.

Now we're waiting to see if our offer is a yay or nay. Did I ever mention how much I hate waiting? I wish there's a better way, you know? Maybe if the bank can send a representative or something, meet up with us, get on the phone with the bank so as soon as we give them a number, we can know if our offer is acceptable or not right on the spot.

Grrrrr, I hate this waiting game!

We Have RED Couches!

I know you're saying "What were you thinking?" right at the moment. Okay, it was seriously love at first sight when we saw our red sofa set sitting in the design floor of a furniture store in North Carolina. Back then, I think we were going through our "Let's be different and fun!" phase.

But now that I'm thinking about redecorating (ie: painting the walls, changing the throw pillows etc.), it's been quite a pain in the ass to find something that goes with red except for white and black. I think I'm lacking in the imagination department right now because I can't think of anything.

I also now wish we bought a sofa set in a neutral color instead of red. Gah, we should have bought the white leather couch set.

Even Google Images is not helpful at all. I got nothing but white, white/grey and grey walls...and of course, black and white throw pillows. *groans*

Do you guys have any decorating ideas/suggestions? I'm thinking about mixing it up and maybe adding a splash of color, maybe either lime green, aqua blue or turquoise accents. Will those colors work?

Currently on a slump...

Yeah.

I don't know what to write about lately. I think it's mainly because there's really nothing too exciting going on right now. I'm not even excited about house-hunting anymore. I heard in the news today that the house prices around the Seattle area are supposed to drop lower. I hope they're right because if that's the case, maybe we really should put the house-buying on hold.

I guess I can start writing about fashion, like clothes or something. Maybe I'll start posting my "Outifits of the Day". I mean, it's something to write about. I think I need to mix up this blog a little bit. I do need to get a new lens because our condo sucks when it comes to the natural light department. It's freaking dark in here!

Oh and guess what? "Spring" is here because the daffodils and tulips are out, as well as the cherry blossoms! I've been meaning to take pictures but it's been raining like crazy lately. Hopefully one of these days, the weather will clear up a little bit. I am so sick and tired of the rain and grey skies.

Anyway, that's all for now. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should write about?

House Decor Inspiration Pics: Kitchen

I have been saving pictures ever since we started house-hunting. I figure I should put them over here just in case I lose the images. All pictures are from Google Images.

I would like a kitchen with white cabinets. Most people think I'm crazy and tell me to have fun cleaning a white kitchen because it's a pain in the ass. I don't think I'll mind the cleaning at all. I like white because to me, it makes everything look clean and bright. I like bright kitchens!

This one is pretty cool. I love the white brick backsplash and I am soooo inlove with the black and white checkered floor. The house we're looking at right now (and making an offer on today) has white cabinets and black counters. No black and white floors though but one of the bedrooms actually has the similar floor to the picture.

I love this next picture too. The blue tile backsplash is pretty awesome. I always wanted a blue and white kitchen.

Here's another inspiration. I love the look of red and white kitchens. This one looks simple enough to do. Gosh, I just love white kitchen cabinets! We can paint the kitchen red, lime green, aqua blue....there are so many choices!

I can't wait to get a house!

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Ten

"A picture that can always make you smile." Well, cute Sophiekitty pictures always make me smile.

This was taken the day after my husband came back from Atlanta. I believe Sophie thinks he's leaving again. This is her way of saying, "I'm going with you this time."

Anyway, it's been a busy week. So much stuff is happening and I kind of don't want to talk about it right now because I might jinx it, ha ha. My head is reeling.

I'm also trying to come up with another photo challenge. It's looking pretty nice outside. The daffodils and tulips are poking out of the ground!

My Husband = Captain Awesome

I really have to share this with you guys. Usually, my husband doesn't get me surprise presents because he knows I'm really, really, really picky. But man, he did a helluva good job on this one. Look what he got me from Atlanta!

Please excuse the crappy picture. It's not really a "shot of the day" material. Anyway, I am obsessed with keys as jewelry lately and I love that he paid attention to that.

I love my husband. *sighs*

By the way, this weeks has been pretty crazy for me hence the short blog entries. I've been writing a KSA for a job I'm applying for and it's quite a pain in the ass to do. If you have writer's block and if you're an overthinker like me, it's pretty challenging. Actually, I'm applying for another position so yup, more KSA writing for me! I also failed the 15-Day Picture Challenge (dammit) but I figured I might as well continue it. I have another picture challenge in mind and I'll tell you guys about it one of these days.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

SOTD: Givin' Up on House Huntin'

Yup, the title says it all.

We are done looking at houses for now.

It seems like we can't find anything that really stands out to us. We were actually beginning to think that the "fixer-upper" house we put a bid on (but lost to another bidder) would have been the perfect house for us even though it needs a lot of work. I mean, lots of work can be good right? Shoot, we can do whatever the hell we want to the house. The house got a ton of space, vaulted ceilings, skylights and a rec room downstairs. I want tons of spaces and high ceilings, my husband just wants a rec room area. It's freaking perfect and it's sad that we're just realizing this right now. Shoot, we could have offered a higher bid! Oh well, things happen for a reason.

So yeah, we're taking a break. No more looking at houses. It's freaking exhausting.

Anyway, I'm not feeling well today so I'm going to watch some "Daria" DVDs. I also have to work on writing a KSA for a job application. I am really, really hating writing so much right now. Hopefully, I get this job or else I will not know what to do with my damned self. I better get this freaking job!

I hope you guys are having or had a better Monday than I do/did. I am so glad mu husband is back. He's pretty good at making me feel better most of the time.

SOTD: Busy Friday!

Happy Friday everyone! My husband is coming home today from that loooooong training in Atlanta. I can't wait to see him! I'm currently tracking his flight online and his plane is flying over Bozeman, MT at the moment!

We're also driving to Portland, Oregon and staying there for the weekend as soon as he gets home from the airport. So yup, busy day today!

Here's the shot of the day. That's my husband's hand holding a teeny-tiny crab. This was taken at the shores of Puget Sound.

Hope you guys have a good weekend!

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Nine

"A picture of something you're afraid of."

I am afraid of the dark.

I was browsing through my old pictures and I think this picture is perfect.

I think this was taken during a blackout. I freaking hate the dark.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and...

...I think I have writer's block. Shoot, I can't barely write to begin with and now, I'm blanking out. Lovely huh?

Anyway, I'm taking a break today and I wish you all a good day.

Later dudes.

S(hots)OTD: Harry Potter Land

My husband and I went to Orlando, Florida this past February and we checked out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter inside the Universal's Islands of Adventure.

The Harry Potter area gets pretty crowded! Good thing we got there pretty early because as the day went on, Universal had to hand out tickets to people in order to prevent overcrowding in Hogsmeade!

Man, what a fun day! I took lots and lots of pictures.

Here is the entrance to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter/entrance to Hogsmeade.

Here's a picture of a street sign inside Hogsmeade with a little bit of Hogwarts in the background.

This is self-explanatory.

This is another view of the castle.

That's all for now. I took so many pictures and I'm still in the process of looking through the films...err, files. I'll post more pictures some other time. Thanks for looking!

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Eight

"A picture of your biggest insecurity."

I was going to talk about my nose because that is my biggest insecurity right now. I freaking hate my nose. It's flat and it points downward. Whenever I see pictures of the side of my face, I always think my nose sucks. My husband thinks I have a cute nose but whatever, I hate it but I guess I have to just keep living with it.

Okay, enough about my nose. Let's talk about my old biggest insecurity and it used to be my weight.

Yup, I'm not insecure about my weight anymore. Here's a story: I used to be kind of obsessed with it but one day, I decided I'm going to stop caring about the stupid numbers. When I was in the Army, I used to step on the stupid scale every day, measured myself with a tailor's measuring tape and check this stupid chart to see if I'm still within the bracket of what the Army calls "a healthy weight". Can you believe my max weight was supposed to be 113 lbs at 24 years old? I was fluctuating between 113-115 lbs at that age. There was no freaking way that was going to work for me! A little bit of muscle weight gained and I would have been considered "fat" according to the Army's standards. Overall, it was effing exhausting, stressful and insane.

You know what, I think as long as I'm not constantly eating junk food, fast food or any type of crap that's bad for me, I have no reason to worry about my weight. I do loooooove junk food but trust me, I have self-control (too much of one thing makes me sick too). I think as long as I stay active and not sit on the couch and eat pizza all day, I should be fine. I think that as long as I feel good in my clothes and my clothes fit me well, I should be fine. I am going to be fine, dammit.

I'm so sick and tired of trying really hard to stay size 2/4. I am happy with being a size 8/10.

I'm just going to love the way I am. Seriously, you should do the same. It helped me keep my sanity and feel soooooo much better about myself.

SOTD: Neighborhood Kitty

What? I like taking picture of cats. There's nothing wrong with that.

This is actually our neighbor's (Kathie) cat. Gosh, I didn't catch the pretty kitty's name though! One lovely summer day, our family was hanging out at the pool cabana and Kathie stopped by to chat while walking her pomeranian doggy. I noticed the cat just hanging out and turns out, Kathie is the owner and the cat goes with her whenever she walks the dog. I didn't know cats can go on walks. It didn't even have a harness or a leash on. It just...walks!

The cat actually hangs out around the pool area sometimes. It's a nice kitty.

I want another cat but Sophie is not very nice to other kitties.

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Seven

"A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel."

My husband and I love traveling together but it's really too bad because we don't have much time to do it. Sometimes, we wish we can just drop and leave everything behind and travel around the world but of course, easier said than done. Also, having to jet set from point A to point B in a kitty carrier is not going to fly well with Sophie either.

There are so many places I would love to travel so let's narrow the list down to one place. For this entry, I pick Rome, Italy.

Rome and its richness of history has always fascinated me. When I was a kid, I remember wanting to visit Rome so bad after reading about it from a world history book. Then I read the photo illustrated version of "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown The darn book is full of pictures of Rome and again, I wanted to go so bad. Then, I took a number of history classes in college and learned more about Ancient Rome and now, I am so determined to visit this place. If my husband is not working, I'll be dragging him to the airport like, right now!

Yeah, I took a picture of a map of Rome from a book. Sadly, I've never been there and don't have actual pictures to post. The good news is we are planning to go to Europe this upcoming summer (if certain things work out and if my husband is able to get time off from work). Rome is definitely on our list of places to visit. Hopefully, I'll have actual pictures of Rome to post as "shot of the day" sometime this year!

Gah, all this writing about Rome...looking at plane tickets now!

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Six

"A picture of your favorite band or artist."

My favorite artist right now is Lady Gaga but I already talked about her before so let's talk about a different artist/band. Let's talk about Blink-182, one of my most favorite bands of all time.

I love, love, love, love Blink-182. I've been listening to their music since high school. I actually have their entire discography in my car's MP3 player right now. I listen to their stuff during my drive to work sometimes. Some of you might think I'm too old to be listening to this band but I don't think I can stop jamming to their music. Their music cheers me the hell up!

My husband and I's first date is at a Blink-182 concert in Raleigh, NC. We both love the band. I remember my cheeks were hurting because I was so happy to be there. I remember being pretty upset when I heard the band broke up in 2005. I also remember being super-duper happy when the band got back in 2009. The very same year of their reunion, my husband and I drove all the way to Vancouver, B. C. to see them live in concert once again. Ah memories, great, great, great memories. I freaking love Blink-182.

By the way and just in case you're wondering (you're probably not but just in case), I decided this past weekend that I'm only going to be doing the 15-Day Picture Challenge and Shot of The Day blog entries during the weekdays. Usually, I don't have time to blog during the weekends. I was able to write blog entries this weekend because I was bored due to my husband being out of town.

SOTD: Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope everyone who does not live in the Pacific time zone is having an awesome day so far today. And to everyone who lives in the same time zone as me, good morning. Happy Monday, everyone!

I posted this picture because it cheers me up and I hope it brings some cheer to you guys too. It's been a rough weekend for many people, especially to the people affected by the earthquake, tsunami and anyone living around the Fukushima nuclear reactor in Japan. I can't even find the right words right now. Let's keep them in our thoughts.

I took this picture when my husband and I visited the Pittock Mansion in Portland, Oregon. What an amazing place! I think it was worth checking it out because I love old mansions. It was very interesting to see how people lived back in the days.

Speaking of Portland, my husband is taking me on a weekend getaway to Portland this coming weekend! He's coming back from Atlanta on Friday morning and then, we're going to drive down to Portland that afternoon (we can get going sooner but he wants to see and hang out with Sophie first, ha ha). Anyway, I can't wait to see him! I can't even find the words to express how much I miss him.

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Shoot, this ain't gonna work.

Nothing to worry, I am not turning this blog into a fashion or beauty blog. Trust me, I don't know much about the two and most likely, I'll run out of ideas to talk about in ...let's say, two days tops.

Anyway, this Tresemme Dry Shampoo thing ain't gonna work for me.

My hair is in dire need of volume. The reason why I keep it in either a ponytail or a bun all the freaking time is because it totally lacks volume and it SUCKS! I watched numerous Youtube videos on how to properly blow dry hair for volume but so far, no success. My hair goes all limp and pathetic-looking after a couple of hours.

I read somewhere that washing your hair every other day or every other three days supposedly give hair volume. And in between washes, dry shampoo can be used. So I purchased this Tresemme Dry Shampoo thing and I didn't wash my hair for a day. I woke up the next morning and and gave this dry shampoo thing a test-drive. I sprayed my hair and at first, my hair looks voluminous. Awesome but by noon, my hair felt so icky and oily.

Overall, this product may work for some but it doesn't work for me. I desperately wanted to take a shower and it felt so good as soon as I washed my hair. I don't think I can ever skip a day without washing my hair ever again. I guess my scalp is just waaay too oily or something.

I did try the mousse and blow-dry technique and so far, that's the only technique that works for me.

How about you? Do you have sucky hair like me? What do you do to achieve some sort of volume?

Forever 21 Shopping Haul

Husband is out of town (I can't wait for Friday! Come here already!).

I'm sad, lonely and sleep-deprived (I hate sleeping alone!).

It's been a rough week and I needed a "pick-me-up" and the best pick-me-up activity in my world is ... SHOPPING.

Well, I decided I "need" (okay, more like "want") new dresses for the spring. Dresses are my thing nowadays and I love wearing them, especially when it's warm outside. I figured since I'm getting older, I needed to retire my some of my "kinda-skanky-for-my-current-taste" khaki shorts and Abercrombie t-shirts (those tees needed to go!). So, I bought a bunch of dresses and started wearing them almost everyday last summer. Okay, this is going to sound really dorky but wearing a dress makes me feel all grown up, girly and sophisticated. I also like that some dresses can be worn in both summer and winter as long as you layer the right pieces with it. I usually wear a cardigan with strapless and sleeveless dresses.

Anyway, I think I'm addicted to dresses.

All the dresses (and pictures) are from Forever 21. The prices are not bad at all! One thing I like about Forever 21 dresses is that the length of their dresses are perfect on me. I never had to worry about getting them hemmed.

I don't even have room in my closet right now but they're so cute. I have to have them! I'm going to have to buy some new hangers tomorrow!

Spring? What Spring?

Seriously, what spring? Everyone seems to be excited about spring except for me.

Why is that, you ask? Well, I live in the Pacific Northwest and spring is totally different here. I don't even think we get spring up here. While many of you are enjoying the sunshine, perfect temperatures and the pretty flowers, I get to enjoy....more like, endure the rain. Lots and lots and lots of rain. The weather over here really puts a damper on everything.

I'm originally from California (San Jose, CA to be exact.) While living there, spring means no more cold weather, sunshine and it's time to bust out the flip-flops, shorts and dresses. Then I joined the Army and moved to Fort Bragg, NC in the fall of 2003. Spring in North Carolina was not so bad either and maybe it's because the summer weather is freaking awful. I prefer the NC spring weather over the super-humid and sticky NC summer weather. Then, I moved to Washington state during the end of the summer in 2006. From what I remember, my first Washington spring wasn't so bad; I actually thought it was beautiful. I remember daffodils and tulips grew everywhere, lots of sunshine and not a lot of rain.

Then it went downhill from there. I swear every single spring since I lived here, all we got was grey skies and rain every single time. I haven't even seen daffodils and tulips pop out of the ground for a loooong time. Just rain and grey skies; Lots and lots and lots of rain.

I guess I can look in the bright side. We get the best summers here in the Pacific Northwest. The average temperature is usually around the high-70s or low-80s. I love that it's not too hot to be outside and doing outdoor activities is not a pain in the ass because the weather is so enjoyable.

I just hate that I have to wait until the day after 4th of July. Seriously, the summer over here does not officially start until after that day.

Do you get sucky spring weather where you live? Wanna make me feel better and tell me about it?

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Five

"A picture of something you love."

Well, obviously, I love my camera (duh!). I love my husband, our cat Sophie, my family, my friends and MANY other things but for this entry, I decided to pick something random.

I have this undying love for perfumes in pretty bottles!

Gosh I'm so cheesy. We need some cheesy and cheer today so bear with me!

I mean come on, who doesn't like perfumes in pretty bottles? For me, I'm always attracted to perfumes in pretty bottles. Whenever I walk up to a perfume counter, the pretty bottles caught my eye first and I automatically think, "Ah, this one gotta smells good." Most of the time, I'm right on target but some of them, the bottle is pretty but the fragrant is too strong for my taste...or it smells like ass.

I've been collecting perfumes since 2002. I think I have about 25 bottles sitting inside a medicine cabinet right now. Supposedly, storing them in a dark place makes them last longer. I am really crazy for Juicy Couture perfumes. They smell sooooo good.

Well, enough about me. How about you? Name one totally random thing you love and tell me about it.

SOTD: Bright and Pretty Colors!

We need something cheerful today. I hope everyone is having a good Friday. I know today is going to be a hard day for many people. My thoughts and prayers go to the people of Japan. I can't even imagine what they're going through right now. So devastating. =(

This photo was taken during our Las Vegas trip last August. The balloons are located inside the Bellagio Hotel. What a beautiful hotel!

There were so many pretty things to take pictures of in Las Vegas because everything seems over the top. It's really crazy! We were there for about a week and a half (my husband had a conference to attend to). It was a fun trip and two of my brothers also flew in so I got to see them! I highly recommend Las Vegas but I don't recommend to go for more than 3-4 days. I was soooo Vegas'ed out by the fourth day.

So, what are you guys up to this weekend? It's going to be a boring weekend for me because my husband is out of town. I'll probably clean the house and study for this certification test I've been putting off for about six months now. Gosh, I'm such a slacker.

Keep the people of Japan in your prayers!

I Need to Take Writing Classes

Yup, the title says it all.

I can't write for shit. Seriously.

I'm kind of jealous of people who can express themselves through writing. I'm kind of jealous of people who can write poetry, short stories and those long, but not-too-long blogs that makes sense. How do you guys do it? How I wish I can do the same thing!

I used to be able to write. I had a MySpace blog (I'll spare you from those entries because they're pretty bad but at least they're long!) and I used to get good grades on my college papers. So what the hell happened to me?

I think my main problem is that my thoughts are all over the place. My mind seems to go 100 mph (or something)...so fast (I can actually feel the Gs...) that I forget what I'm going to write next. I can't seem to organize my thoughts lately too so I just blank out. It's like "BAM! Writer's Block!". It's funny because people who know me well think I have an opinion about everything (well, except on politics and religion. I'm not touching those issues.) so I should have loads to write about. Well, I do but I don't know how to write it.

People say, "Just write what's on your mind.". Well, what's on my mind seem to have no structure or whatsoever. If I write what's on my mind, people won't understand a damned thing.

Anyway, I'm just rambling now and laughing at myself. Do you guys have any writing tips? Am I overthinking this or what?

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Four

"A picture of something you hate"

I hate working out. I hate that I need it to stay in shape. I hate that I feel like shit after a workout. I hate that I feel guilty whenever I skip a workout. I freaking hate it.

But you know what, I do love the results.

Hah, I guess today's theme is "HATE". I sure woke up full of hate today.

SOTD: Today = Blah Day

I'm not inspired. I didn't get any sleep last night. I kept waking up for some reason. I'm really not used to sleeping alone. Hell, I'm not used to doing most things all by myself.

Nine more days of this shit. I hate this week with passion.

I hope you guys are having a better day/better week that I am.

ETA: Shit, I should have saved this picture for St. Patrick's Day Shot of the Day. Dammit.

SOTD: I Need Sunshine...

...and warm weather....and palm trees...and sand between my toes.

Grey skies and constant rain until next Friday (10-Day weather forecast) here in Western Washington according to weather.com. Grrrrreat, just grrrreat.

I miss Florida and California!!!

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Three

"A picture that makes you laugh."

Hah, I have a bunch! My husband and our cat, Sophie makes me laugh on a daily basis. My picture picks are either Sophie's pictures or my husband's pictures but I know he's not going to be thrilled if I post his goofy pictures online for the whole world to see. So, I went with Sophie. =)

Sophie likes to be up in our business all the time. This picture was taken when I was putting up decorations this last Christmas. She pretty much looked at me and said "Yeah, this garland is mine." and plopped herself on top of the darn thing. I left the garland on the floor for about a week and it became one of her napping places for a little bit.

Look at those crazy eyes. Crazy cat.

The picture below is taken before a workout. Crazy cat stole mah shoes! I don't know what it is but she loooooooves rubbing/headbutting (and hugging) shoes all the time.

Gosh, I sound like a crazy cat lady! Anyway, how about you? What or who makes you laugh?

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

So, this is how it feels huh?

Well, we DID NOT get the house.

(I didn't take this picture. Thank you, Google Images.)

Okay fine, I'm not really crying/bawling/freakingthehellout.

Some idiots offered a higher bid (yup, that's jealous me calling people names) and the greedy-ass bank (those jerkoffs) took it. The bank said they're going to hold on to our offer just in case the deal doesn't go through though (Whatever, it would be nice to just let us know NOW, for fuck's sake). I guess let's see what happens in the next 10 days.

I'll be lying if I say I'm not disappointed. After two days of me and my husband talking about what we can do to that house, me actually getting all excited about doing DIY renovations (and not worrying about breaking my nails), and researching about house stuff, it's pretty damned disappointing. See, I can't remember if we put in an offer on our condo or not. I think we just bought it so this is the first time we actually put in an offer on a place.

Now I know how most of you house-hunters feel whenever someone beats your offer! Damn, it does SUCK!

Oh well, gotta keep it positive. Let's move on to the next one. This is our first offer and sometimes, you can't get your first. Maybe there's a better (and a fully updated and remodeled) house out there somewhere waiting for us.

Things happen for a reason right?

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day Two

"A picture of your most treasured item."

Well duh, of course I'm going to pick my engagement and wedding rings!

Why? I have two reasons. First, it's freaking expensive (Well, not as much as some other people's rings but I think it's pretty pricey.) so I better treasure and appreciate this thing. Second, I adore my rings like there's no tomorrow. They're my "preciousssss" *flashes my Smeagol smile*.

How about you? What is your most treasured item?

S(hots)OTD: In Honor of Fat Tuesday

I am dedicating this blog post to all the rich and fatty food/sweets in the world. Stay yummy!

Speaking of uber-yummy stuff.

I like taking pictures of food but I don't want to make this post picture-heavy so this will do for now.

Do you celebrate Fat Tuesday? Do you eat lots of junk like me?

In other news, we're supposed to find out today if our house offer is a go or no-go. I'm kind of on pins and needles about it. My husband and I have been taking about things we can do to the house since Sunday so we're kind of excited now, I guess. At the same time though, we're trying to calm it down because we don't want to end up disappointed if the bank turns our offer down or counteroffers the same listing price.

*rubs hands together* Bring it on, Bank. Bring it on.

SOTD: The Spoiled One

This is an old picture of Sophie (my batshitcrazy/hilarious feline friend) and believe it or not, I took this with a point-and-shoot camera (Canon Powershot S5).

Here's a side story. I took a supplemental photography class last summer and there was this asshole who thinks he's the best photographer in the world because he got a $3,000 DSLR camera. The guy bragged for days about how awesome he is but when he showed his pictures to the class, the teacher pretty much ripped most of his images into shreds (not literally, you know what I mean). I concluded that he pretty much spent money on a camera he does not know how to use (pictures were blurry and either overexposed or underexposed).

When I showed this picture to the class, I got nothing but raves and everyone was surprised to hear it was taken with a $300 camera.

Moral of the story is just because someone has an expensive camera, it doesn't mean they're the shit. The brain makes the pictures, not the camera. I have met some people who take awesome pictures simply by using their cellphones!

15-Day Picture Challenge: Day One

"A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day."

This is pretty challenging to me. I have this long list of people I would love to trade places with for a day but I for now, I pick Lady Gaga (go ahead, laugh now, ha ha ha.)

Why did I pick Lady Gaga you ask? Because I admire her zaniness, her willingness to just let go and her guts. She works hard as hell. She's so fascinating to me and it would be really cool to know what's in her head for 24 hours. Maybe I'll find out that despite of the crazy get-ups, maybe she's just a normal and boring person inside.

Okay fine, I really just wanna wear the crazy outfits and headgear!

And I wanna be carried around in an egg.

Gah, Target is Killing Me!

Let's talk about decor for now, shall we? They have really cute stuff right now but I am currently obsessed with Target's living room chairs right now.

I love living room/accent chairs, especially the ones with the bright colors or loud patterns/prints. I always imagined when we get a bigger place, I'll have accent chairs here and there.

I don't want to state the obvious but just in case, the pictures below are not taken by me.

Anyway, I am so inlove with these chairs right now. I want them all!:

1. Target Floral Swoop Armchair for $199.99 (Not a bad price for an armchair.)

2. Gerber Slipper Chair in Surf -$299.00 (a little pricey but I love the color!)

3. Arista Floral Armchair in Black and White - $139.99

4. Mitchell Armless Chair in Black and White - (On sale for $90.99. This is a steal!)

Aren't they cute? I noticed three of them are black and white. So much for me liking bright colors huh? I figure I can put a bright colored throw pillow on the chairs.

What do you think? Do you use accent chairs to decorate?
